Welcome to my corner of the internet — I’m really glad you’re here.

Fun fact: I'm pretty sure I've been welcoming people to “my corner of the internet” since I coded my first free Geocities page using nothing but HTML and my dad's AOL account. Needless to say, my corner of the internet has changed ZIP codes a time or two (and hopefully aesthetics — the nineties were an interesting time in web design, lol).

I’m Tanya and I’m the author of an upcoming historical fiction novel called Cypress Run (coming Summer 2026! Squee!), the first book in The Cypress Run Quartet.

This space is where I’ll share the things that don’t actually fit anywhere in the book: behind‑the‑scenes notes, character deep dives, snippets from my writing desk, pages of research on what life was like for a Civil War doctor — all so he can mention one battle in a throwaway line somewhere in Book 3 and never speak of it again. I might also throw in the occasional chaotic update about what it’s like bringing a book into the world for the first time.
